Name: mindy CommentsI am sorry to say that I didn't feel any quake this morning -- living in Queens and all. I would have like to experienced my first quake. Actually saw a train derailed on Rte 101 -or 1 (don't remember the #) in Calif. from a quake. I missed it by an hour driving down from SF. Hey Mike - Ack lost all his registration information/guestbook stuff and maybe the pictures that people sent to him over the past year. I would suspect there is something that we can do to help! is there? He notes that he didn't back up any data..........oh well -- lesson learned - back this site up including the pictures. no more kini for me..... until i loose the 15 I gained (winter) I refuse to look at another Kini to review. There will be a day or two of surges, and then a strong pull back. Personally, I follow a few companies and trade them almost weekly. Sometimes my strategy works, and sometimes it doesn't. Consumer confidence is too low to have the Nasdaq go up in a straight line like it did last year. Be careful and be sure and place those trusty stop limits. From what I have heard from some taping friends of mine, the acoustic Jorma/Jack shows have been much better than the electric stuff. In recent interviews Jorma has said that he spends very little time practicing his electric. I think he is reaching his goal of being able to sit on his front porch playing acoustic blues, a la Rev Gary Davis! Harris, my beloved Giants are making quite a late season push. CommentsI remember the winters in Bayside - fighting in the snow, making snow angels, riding down the tiny hill by the avenue. One of my most vivid memories is the big tree in front of Harris' & Leibo's building. I could look out my bedroom window & still see it covered with snow. Haven't thought about that in years. Thanks Harris. I think Debbi's right about everyone being busy for holidays. Tyring to do the shopping & write out cards, while working & doing my regular stuff is just too hard. There's just not enough time. The site may be quiet for a while but Mike needs to keep it running. It's one of the few ways I get to communicate with old friends. What's everyone doing for NYE's? "Unbearable Lightness of Being") .. is a heavy.. horrific yet stunningly beautiful.. provacative story of the life of the Marquis de Sade.. for the holidays??. "Finding Forrester" is a good one for the family.. stars Sean Connery.. shot in NY. It is the story of a literary recluse, who is befriended by a talented, young, black basketball player.. directed by Gus Van Zandt.. ("Good Will Hunting"). And revamping the electoral college system may not hurt too; have the numbers of electors for the states changed with every census, and are the required numbers of Electoral votes the same PROPORTION of the Electoral Votes needed in the beginning?
