Name: mindy CommentsI am sorry to say that I didn't feel any quake this morning -- living in Queens and all. I would have like to experienced my first quake. Actually saw a train derailed on Rte 101 -or 1 (don't remember the #) in Calif. from a quake. I missed it by an hour driving down from SF. Hey Mike - Ack lost all his registration information/guestbook stuff and maybe the pictures that people sent to him over the past year. I would suspect there is something that we can do to help! is there? He notes that he didn't back up any data..........oh well -- lesson learned - back this site up including the pictures. no more kini for me..... until i loose the 15 I gained (winter) I refuse to look at another Kini to review. BTW - where is Debbie---- I haven't seen her in weeks! so long ---- Hey Batch -- miss ya camel ! Name: Mike CommentsGo Giants!! Yes, Leibo I heard about the earthquake, but didn't feel it. I hear the epicenter was the upper east side. Not only is it freezing back here, now we're having earthquakes! What's next? Floods, mud slides, or will our power companies threaten to cut us off? Name: rosey CommentsHarris, up here in New England people are in a state of denial about dose Jints. Ack finally got the site up and running again... Name: Leibo CommentsDid anyone feel this morning's earthquake? I didn't. I was probably just crossing the Tappan Zee bridge when it happened. 2.5 on the Richter scale. Long Island City and Queens got rattled a little, and the epicenter was 10 miles outside of Newark. Actually, we're just trying to keep pace with you westcoasters (lol). Name: Harris CommentsHow 'bout dose Giants?? Name: The Batch CommentsHey Mitch its a west coast reunion we're tryin to pull off here,ya see we on the BEAUTIFUL!!!west coast would like to have you easterners out for a romp and a frolic in the Pacifac surf dood! This ofcourse goes for all of you. Name: Jan P CommentsMitch - although another NY reunion sounds good, we were trying to plan something so the left coasters didn't have to travel so far. If another NY reunion is planned I'm sure a number of us would try to go. Now, if we can just get some of the right coasters to come to Cal... Name: mitch meyer CommentsWho`s great idea was it to have a weekend reunion? I think the reunion should be in NY without a doubt!!.Thank you everybody for coming up with all these places but!! Well have a great day and remember " The harder you work, the luckier you get" Name: JAn P CommentsAnother comment - I love the picture of the boys & Deb. Where was it taken? The Big 205 reunion? Where did Alan got those stars that are in his eyes? Name: Jan P. CommentsOkay - I didn't get any response from anyone about the left coast reunion in Santa Barbara so I guess that's off. We can still do it whenever people are interested. Otherwise, a camping reunion would be a blast. Big Sur would be beautiful (as long as no one falls off the cliffs). It's also between LA & SF. Otherwise something along the beach. We only live 2-3 miles away & there's some nice campgrounds a little north of here (Refugio). So, my heart's in the right place But my organizational skills need some work. Let's try to plan something for maybe April or May. Batch - maybe you can work on something? Name: bATCH CommentsOUR POWER IS FINE!!! MIKE LEAVE US ALONE!!! Name: min CommentsHELLO to those that still frequent this site. Name: Harris CommentsMike what are you talking about? We are.. Name: Mike CommentsLeft coasters. Post your messages while you can. Your electricity will be turned off soon: http://cbs.marketwatch.com/archive/20010111/news/current/power_emergency.htx?dist=nwtpm I'd hold off on paying the bills. Name: Batch CommentsYo boys a girls wazzup? Yeah we can meet at my house , no problem.OOPs I'll be out of town that weekend ,sorry....Only kidding we could actually camp at the beach. However if we want to have a campout reunion lets do either Big Sur, Yosemite or Kings Canyon. Or we could do it at my house and go down to the beach. I love Lucia too! And Cindy and Dana and Debbie and Julia and all of them. Name: Harris CommentsAlan.. great link! thanks. I can see our building.. the oval with the evergreen tree.. the stores.. Yogis.. it is amazing. very cool. I think I can see Phil walking around down there. Name: mm Commentsmike, I still love Lucia and i still talk to her. Please dear friend dont say such things about her. But what about the others? Thanks for responding, looking forward to our next meeting. Name: Mike CommentsMitch Meyer - I seem to remember that you had a serious / obsessive crush on Lucia Valvano. Any idea where she wound up? Does she have a broomstick instead of a car these days? I second the vote for an annual weekend reunion. I volunteer Batch's house, since he is close to the beach. Name: Leibo CommentsFor those of you that don't visit the 205 website, here is a something that I posted earlier today: Hey, here's something a little cool to start your day with - our beloved Windsor Park and PS 205 as seen from a satellite. http://terraserver.microsoft.com/image.asp?S=10&T=1&X=3024&Y=22552&Z=18&W=2 Afterwards, explore the site a little bit - it's really a lot of fun but you have to have some patience trying to find particular locations. Leibo Name: Mitch Meyer CommentsFirst I would like to say I`m very dissappointed I did not get a response from my last message. I asked where were all the girls i`d love before? Now was that only in my mind back in the 70`s? Lets get down to the real business, We should have a committe for weekend reunions once a year in the summertime. Some place by the beach area, possibly even camping for a weekend, I think this could be a great thing, Name: Mike CommentsNow how did you left coasters manage to post four redundant messages each? Must have been a slight tremor going south to north on a newly discovered fault line that confused my software. Either that or the message didn't want to return to my east coast based server, where it's freezing! I fixed it. Can I hire you guys in my QA Dept? What's with the kini girl today? Not very impressive is she? Name: mindy Commentsa sleeping hibernating winter snooze site! NOT TOO MUCH ACTION THESE DAYZ ---HI ALL! Name: Harris CommentsWow.. I did not post 4 times to be funny or anything like that.. so... maybe us west coasters got caught in a cyber loop? or something. Batch.. I'm with you Buddy.. it's a conspiracy of some sort! Name: Jan P CommentsBoy, redundancy rules! & rules, & ... I haven't really been on top of the left coast reunion thing but think we need to start thinking long & hard about pulling it together. I haven't received much feedback about who wants to do it & when but if people respond enthusiastically, we can make arrangemnts. I originally thought about doing it over President's weekend, 2/17, but that's quickly approaching so we may have to put it off. What is the best time for everyone else? Do you want to do it in March or May? Once I start hearing from people, I'd have a better idea about when to plan it.So, come up Diane, Lisa, Joel, Jimmy P., Tommy Z., Paul, Kenny - Let me know because we're still up for it. Name: Harris CommentsBatch.. your elegant sense of redundancy is moving. A "4 timer".. I think that's a site record! lol Notice how that "witz" just anchors, that giant composite name you came up with. Name: Batch CommentsHey Jan are we still doin this west coast re-onion thing in Feb ? Or did this one fall by the wayside all together? I have seen hide nor hair of any talk on this one for awhile now. So what is the deal? If we are all brothers and sisters how come are last name isn't Feindelbaumbergsteinmeyerbatchpruchareilylowitz? Name: Jan P. CommentsThat's great! I haven't been on the site in a while & first thing I see is a picture of "DaGirls". There I am, looking happy & sassy! Glad to see all my old friends, that helped make me the person I am. And to be able to relive the old times & still enjoy my friends. They were as cool as I remember them. Well, it's the new year's and time keeps on trucking on. Now I know what my parents meant by "the years keep getting shorter". Gotta enjoy them while we can. Have a great year to all. - Jan Name: Mitch Meyer CommentsGOOD YON TOV TO ALL To all the girls I loved before, Where are you now when i need you? By the way, who were you anyway?I am expecting a reply to this. Allan Sarrett where are the pictures? I thought by now you would have become more responsible!! Name: Leibo CommentsMike - you mean Phil's 'mangina' party? From what I understand he cancelled due to 'complications' (let alone all the snow!). Anyway, what was it supposed to be - the inaugural of the He-Man Woman Hater's club? If you have married friends and throw a party at your house you should invite their wives - it's a little different from boy's night out! L. PS - my terminology was coined from Deuce Bigalow. Name: Mike CommentsLeibo - It's impossible to predict the market, but in my short-term crystal ball I see many weeks ahead where the market acts similar to this past week. There will be a day or two of surges, and then a strong pull back. Personally, I follow a few companies and trade them almost weekly. Sometimes my strategy works, and sometimes it doesn't. Consumer confidence is too low to have the Nasdaq go up in a straight line like it did last year. Be careful and be sure and place those trusty stop limits. On a different topic - what happened to Phil's executive party? Miles? Name: min CommentsHappy every holiday! covers every ethnic group-- i hope! Kini girl - Harris - trey hot - can melt the snow around her. mindy Name: leibo CommentsHi All, So the new year is here and hopefully for all of you (and myself) it will bring many good things. Two good things so far - the market finally looks like it is going to start heading in the right direction (Mike, any opinion?) and today's kini girl - she is the epitome of natural and quite refreshing from some of the 'mutants' that turn up every now and then. That's all for now - Leibo. Name: Harris CommentsKini Gal... let it snow.. let it snow.. let it snow.... Name: Miles CommentsHappy New Year everyone!! Welcome to the Miles Millennium or as I call it the "Milesennium" Name: Harris CommentsKini Girl today, looks like she could throw a mean Full Nelson on you. Name: Batch CommentsHappy new Year! to you all BTW:Where is everybody? Name: The East Coast CommentsWhatever... Stop your delusions!! NYC, THE center of the civilized universe!!! Name: Mike CommentsBatch - It really was a cool storm, especially since we did not lose power. It went away as quickly as it came. Click below to see someone really enjoying it: http://www.shoppingsolutions.com/fampics/lindsey-skis.jpg I didn't have to go too far. Have a happy! Harris - That is a city kind of snow you describe. Up here in the burbs, the woods remain magical until it melts. And we have garages that take care of the ice on the windshields. Although I have to admit, when the wind chill drops below 20, I miss living in the bay area. Have a great new year and enjoy the perfect weather. Name: Harris CommentsLike Batch.. I too got a bit homesick for a good Nor'easter blizzard.. sleigh rides.. drifts.. etc. But then.. I started to think about all I was missing.. snow turning to Black slush.. Drunken New Years revelers trying to spell their names in the Snow in Yellow.. Steam heat sucking all the moisture from my nasal cavities.. Skidding on the road.. Layers and layers of clothing.. wet feet... and having to take my shoes off before coming in the house.. defrosting the windshield in the car before driving.. or scraping the ice off.. even better!.."Wind Chill Factor". So.. when I am taking a last day of the year walk over in Tiburon today (temps.. mid 50's) and looking for Pelicans and Great Blue Herons.. I will think about all my snowbound friends and relatives back East.. and wish you all A Very Happy.. Safe.. Prosperous.. Healthy New Year!!!! 2001 Name: Batch CommentsMan are you guys lucky !!! Its a snow Day!!! If I we're there I'd go out for long walks and take my kid sled riding down suey side hill!!! I'd get Leibo and Harry and go car hood riding on the golf course! I'd get otu my skates and skate all night on the pond. The weather here sucks its too efin sunny and hot a shit.I'll just sit in jacuzzi for a while and dream of bein with you guys playin in all that beautiful fresh SNOW!!! I'm not kidding either Ireally would like to be smack in the middle of the snow. Name: Mike CommentsBatch - It snowed about 16 inches by me. The biggest storm up here since 1992. It's really beautiful. I may do some local skiing this morning. Now all we need is the temperature to go up to about 40 degrees. Wishful thinking.... Happy New Year To All! Name: mindy CommentsAnyway.........BBBBBBatch, yes Snow is everywhere..... I am in NY and can't get to NJ - Hope the LIRR and NJT are running tomorrow -- so I may be with Ken for New years. We have a party down there. Where he lives it's 2 ft -- at least. Don't want him to drive up - since he can't train it - (needs the car for Tues work)... So I am going to have fun fun fun fun treading the snow - with a pull luggage piece......... GUYS ~ wish me luck!!! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EAST AND WEST - NORTH AND SOUTH - LEFT AND RIGHT. MIN THE Name: Batch CommentsHey are you guys under a foot of snow yet? Deb et al where are the rest of the pics from the MVB reunioun that can't be all of them? Joel and Suzanne are you guys married yet? Name: Batch CommentsHappy New Years!!! Leibo Family condolences to youz. Did anyone dial the 800 number? Are we still havin the Leftest coast re-onion? Mindy..Mindy...Mindy.. Marsha..Marsha...Marsha....always Marsha Name: Harris CommentsLike Auld Lang Zine.. certain traditions must be kept going, for the upcoming year. And so.. in that spirit.. I must report that today's Kini is Sweet! She is in the best tradition of simplicity.. and natural-ness. Name: mindy Commentshappy new years 2001 to all sorry leibo- my condolences! congrats Joel and Suzanne Hello to Debbie, Batch and Jan and other readers. mindy Name: Leibo CommentsMike, Pat and I thank you and anyone else who has sent their condolences, especially Miles and his family for their support the last couple of days. Needless to say it has been quite rough. Happy New Year to all, and to Joel and Suzanne all the best! Love, Alan, Pat and Frankie Leibowitz Name: Mike CommentsHappy holidays everyone. I know that you're out there cause the hit counts are climbing. A few news items to report: Condolences go out to Pat, Leibo's wife for the loss of her mother last week. I am very sorry about your loss.... Be sure and send congratulations to Joel and Suzanne. They are getting married next week! Welcome Paul Weiser to the land of the cyber living. Love from Harris & Dianna Name: Batch Commentsdingle balls dingle balls hangin form my headliner Name: MYLZFROM CommentsMerry New Year, Happy Chanukah, Happy Christmas, Cool Kwanza!! The picture is in just the right amount of 'out of focus' that we used to be (or still are). Name: Mindy CommentsThe kini chick is not a meanie. That kini for the weekend makes me want to go back to the gym --- well whoever still frequents this site - HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!! I am going away for a few days to check out the new President's quarters in D.C. Kinda make sure that Roe v Wade is not overturned. EVER! I voted for Gore - wanted someone else - not happy about BUSH - I just don't have confidence in his ability. I wish it were Powell and Chaney. First -- let's start the stocks going up up up again!!!!! Name: Leibo CommentsHeard a good quote on the radio this morning attibutted to Bubba - over in Ireland he was shown a new hockey rink they built. When asked to try out for the team his response was his only qualification would be that 'he is used to absorbing blows'. ! Name: Harris CommentsLusty.. still too busty. Name: Mike CommentsSo, we have a new President. Another good ole boy from Texas (sorry Joe). I can see it now -- A prime time special as the final tally for the under-counted votes are counted live in Fl, and the next days headlines show the real winner. It would be better for the country if they burned the uncounted votes. But the networks will most definetly find a way to exploit all of this. I heard that after the inauguration Bush will be throwing the first White House toga party. Can't you see it? Difference between Clinton and Gore - Clinton knows when he's been licked.... Mitch - I'd love to get together, but you've got to promise not to do head stands naked, ok? Anyone see Suicide Hill lately? It's all town houses. They paved paradise, and put up a parking lot.... Name: Mitch Meyer CommentsYes i remember suicide hill. Those cold nights with mr black berry brandy. I also remember the pool they had up there. The houses were called Royal Ranch, hows that for a good memory? Does anybody remember skinny dipping up there? 186 also had the pool I used to do head stands naked, so i was told!! Mike lets get together, i`d like that Name: Leibo CommentsBatch - I remember those runs down the hill on the car hood. 6 - 8 people and one fine dog named Rasta! I think he was the one that made it go fast. Also remember skating on the little man made lake in Kissena Park there - and another adventure with that dog when he broke through the ice and caught a nice dog cold. Anyway people, I am slowly returning to the land of the living - it's been a rough couple of months for me, but things are starting to look up. More to come. Name: MYLZ CommentsSuicide Hill was a great sled ride. Anyone remember the steep hill in Alley Pond Park (1) before they rebuilt the Grand Central Pkwy? That was wild! Name: Harris CommentsKini today?.. a little busty .. but otherwise lusty. Name: Murphy CommentsSuicide Hill on Little Neck Pkwy...sure, great spot The fairways on Douglaston golf course? How about the inclines along side the exit ramps of the Cross Island? (could be very exciting) trash can lids, plastic bags, car hoods, cafeteria trays, someone else's coat, those round, red plastic things with handles (what were they called?). I don't remember ever really using a sled very much. and I'm actually a little hazy these days on what snow looks like (it's cold, right?) Name: Mike CommentsRosey - I saw that piece on 60 minutes about the dot coms going out of business. I can relate - The main part of the Shopping Solutions web site has been running for 1 1/2 years and I have not made a dime. If Amazon.com can't make money I don't think shoppingsolutions.com has a chance. It will remain a hobby for me. Snow - It snowed just over an inch up here last weekend and was perfect. The woods and lawns were blanketed in white and I taught my daughter how to make a snowball. Anyone remember sledding down Suicide Hill on Little Neck Pkwy across from P.S. 186? I cannot wait until it snows enough here so we can go skiing! Deb - The Kini girl today certainly is far from the cradle. Name: bATCH CommentsLos Liebos at Ventura theater on NYE Pollard? Sounds like a possible If I don't have a gig thia yaer but they usually show up at the last minuet> Name: Batch CommentsHari Krischnakwansikka !!! Ho HO hO there that should just about cover all the bases, except of course the Jehovahs Witnesses they don't celebrate anything. The so called fake snow( man made) was quite fun although it was actuially mixed with a foot or so of real natural snow.It beat the crap out of goin to work or goin fishin. NEWS FLASH: CLINTON STILL PRESIDENT!!! FLIM AT ELEVEN!!! BTW: I do mean to say flim as in flim flam ...man. WE used to go sledding on this golfcourse in Flushing ,I think Leibo was in on this one, we'd take a car hood and put about 6 or 8 people on it and go down this huge hill.I had a great big friend named Harry with red hair and big boney nose and freckles made the thing go really fast cause he was heavy, not fat mind you just a big guy! That shit was funn!!!I miss that.....I miss when the city shuts down in a blizzard and you can walk in total serenity in the snow at night for miles ,,,very peaceful you know. I once pulled Ganhdi around Queens in my sled...oh sorry that was a dream I had....Am I rambling? Well anyhow I miss all that stuff and you guys too! Name: Debbi J-L CommentsAnyone looking at the kinis any more? Today's looks barely out of the cradle (and I have 2 pre-teens at home)! I miss the playing in the snow, sledding behind my old building (before they took out the hill for the New Buildings' garage), but I don't miss walking to 74 in it, along 210 street (Ice-ball fights). Actually I like being able to drive to it but not live in it. And these days, I'd have to shovel driveway, walks & steps, no thanks! I guess going to school in Fredonia also contributed to my satiation! But I used to love those galoshes with the metal buckles!!!!!! Name: rosey Comments60 Minutes had a piece last night on dot.com companies that are folding daily. Very interesting stuff. I didn't recall seeing many reviews of the Tuna show at the Beacon? From what I have heard from some taping friends of mine, the acoustic Jorma/Jack shows have been much better than the electric stuff. In recent interviews Jorma has said that he spends very little time practicing his electric. I think he is reaching his goal of being able to sit on his front porch playing acoustic blues, a la Rev Gary Davis! Harris, my beloved Giants are making quite a late season push. And those boots with the metal buckles, when I was in Iowa last winter I heard that familiar sound when I was in a farm store! Sure enough, it was those buckles. Name: Jan P. CommentsI remember the winters in Bayside - fighting in the snow, making snow angels, riding down the tiny hill by the avenue. One of my most vivid memories is the big tree in front of Harris' & Leibo's building. I could look out my bedroom window & still see it covered with snow. Haven't thought about that in years. Thanks Harris. I think Debbi's right about everyone being busy for holidays. Tyring to do the shopping & write out cards, while working & doing my regular stuff is just too hard. There's just not enough time. The site may be quiet for a while but Mike needs to keep it running. It's one of the few ways I get to communicate with old friends. What's everyone doing for NYE's? We're not sure, maybe go to the Bay area, stay home & see Los Lobos, go to a local bar or stay home? The choices we have to make. Deb- give me a call & let me know when you're coming down. We will, hopeflly, be around. Have a great holiday, whichever it may be. Stay healthy, laugh hearty & remember old friends! - jan Name: Harris CommentsThere are so many things to talk about, these days.. the comical fractured election process for one. (A Gore in the hand is worth 2 in the Bush!) Isn't anybody interested in Football! Giants are doing well for a change.. Warner's back for the Ram's after he hurt his wittle pinky finger.. the lameness of the 49'ers may be finally over.. 45 points scored last weekend. The economy is taking a long awaited "correction". Anybody invested in high tech Nasdaq stocks? Dot.com companies in the Bay Area are falling apart faster than a poorly baked Pfefferneussen. Speaking of the Holidays.. Batch is the only one to mention snow.. remember our snowy Xmas' as kids? What happened to all that? Bayside used to be a winter-wonderland.. sleigh riding.. slushball fights.. hot chocalate..with marshmallows.. digging snow out of your boots.. those wacky boots with the metal buckles?.. The sound of the plows coming around early after a big night of snow.. the drifts.. the wind howling through the hallways at Windsor Park. Anybody do xmas trees? Dianna is big on Xmas.. our house always looks like "Miracle on 34th Street" come to life. Menorahs? I light the real candles.. not the plug 'em in & twist the bulb kind. It's all tradition here though.. I'm not very into religion. Good movies coming out for the holiday season. A couple I did some work on.. "Quills".. by Phil Kaufman.,('The Right Stuff".. "Unbearable Lightness of Being") .. is a heavy.. horrific yet stunningly beautiful.. provacative story of the life of the Marquis de Sade.. for the holidays??. "Finding Forrester" is a good one for the family.. stars Sean Connery.. shot in NY. It is the story of a literary recluse, who is befriended by a talented, young, black basketball player.. directed by Gus Van Zandt.. ("Good Will Hunting"). Well.. this is my effort to help keep this site alive. Mike worked hard for months to provide a little escape from all that busy-ness, that everyone claims, keeps them from contributing. This is a free and instant way way to reach your old friends.. so utilize it! Harris Name: Debbi J-L CommentsHey, all. Mike, thanks for posting the pics; everyone else hoping for more from the actual MVB, Class of 75, sorry! I just got back from a 3-day business trip, things are too busy these days with holidays, vacations, and all. Batch, how was all the fake snow? Was it south shore or north? I saw Lisa Kessel, aka Margaret Rogers, on my trip, and it was a trip! Jan, I may be stopping in the neighborhood in the way to Lala Land next week, I'll let you know. Grampa's not doing so well. Happy holidays, everyone! Name: batch CommentsBatch bein sking at Lake Tahoe just got back. Hey deb wheres the rest of the pics? Site dead...good run Name: Mike CommentsI know Min. It is a bit pathetic. Not really worth keeping this part of the site up. Happy Birthday to Min - 12/9! http://graphics.nytimes.com/images/2000/12/08/arts/hed_lennon_large.gif I'd ask for a moment of silence for the memory of John Lennon, but we already have days of silence. Go Gore - I for one am elated about a recount in Fl. After reading how unethical the election has been down there, I'm happy to see the recount in action. At the very least, this has been a good civic lesson for everyone. Name: min Commentsit is so quite here that I can read the newspaper while reading these interesing posts! I AM REGISTERED FINALLY...LOOKING FORWARD TO A DRINK OR TWO, OR THREE TONIGHT. KIDS ARE OUT FOR THE NIGHT. SOLITUDE! Name: Mike CommentsHi Adrienne Jacks. Nice to see you here! Didn't we take the Q42 bus together on the way to Van Buren? And what is this arm in arm stuff with Gary Wayne at P.S. 186? The pictures from the MVB reunion - Yes, they suck big time. I counted on our old friend Al, but his camera failed us. I am expecting more shortly. Once I get them I'll post them. Check back in a few days. Do you mean to tell me that you don't recognize me? And why is your friend Robin Klein so shy? She's never posted here. I think she is one of the many silent lurkers.... Congratulations on your recent marriage! Name: Adrienne Jacks (Dichter) CommentsI am looking at the pictures posted and so many of them I have no idea who's who. Mike can you give first and last names so I can figure it out...Thanks. Name: mindala CommentsOk......in being Politically correct~~~~~ We got the Menorah's, Santas, and Christmas trees. Let's get real -- no Kawanza, Festivas,or Ramadan emblems? How ethinically controlled are we~? WE need to express the beliefs of everyone---- Let's all have a happy joyus Festivas!!!!! Name: Batch CommentsHey where is everybody? Name: Harris CommentsNo.. not the election! If the Kini lady would just tie those strings on the sides, she wouldn't have to hold up the bottom piece like that. Name: Cindy CommentsHowdy Friends, Batch, I am glad you were able to get in touch with the other Cindy. I was the one who wrote to you and did call a mutual friend to see if she could contact you. Just wondered if it did happen. Joel, I have not seen you in ages. I guess it is you that is getting married soon. Congratulations. I have been married for 14 years. We have two boys (8 and 11) and live in NY. I wish you and your wife the best of happiness together. Where are you getting married? Jan, I got a few pictures back today from your visit to my house. If you send me your address, I will try and send you some copies. You can email it directly to me. I check my email a lot more frequently than I log on to this site. Hope you and Reilly are doing well. We wish we could come to your Presidents' shindig, but it is too much for us to handle this year. One day we would love to take that trip. It is on my list of things to do in my lifetime. The house is holding us up a bit. It is almost done. Hooray. We can't wait for you to come back to NY and see us and the completed version while you are in town. Deb, hope we can see you when you are on the East Coast again doing your hockey trip. Hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying this holiday season. Take care, Cindy (Horwitz) G. Name: Jan P. CommentsWell, it's been a long time since I wrote & we still don't have a president. I say standardize all the ballots & let's all vote again. Let's get rid of the electoral college & let the votes count for themselves. Mitch - it sounds like you & Batch have both come out of the closet - not theres' anything wrong with it. You know, "looking for a guy 2 years younger..." Had a great time seeing everyone at the pre-MVB reunion. Nick's sure looked a lot better than I remembered it. It was great hanging out with Mike & Alan, Cindy & Debbi & fun meeting Joanne & Mindy. Now, where was Leibo & Phil? Couldn't leave the burbs to see some friends? I enjoyed looking at the pictures from the reunion. Tommy Z looked great & seemed to have that wise smile saying "I didn't have to dress up because I can buy & sell all you slubs". Can't believe that Joel & Suzan are finally getting married. Much luck & happiness. After being together with Reilly for 23 years, I know the ups & downs of a relationship. The good times outweigh the bad ones & trust & respect are important aspects of any relationship. Where are you "doing it"? If you plan on being in the South land, we'd love to see you! Still planning on a left coast reunion in Feb. Give me some feedback. Who wants to go? What do you want to do? Eat? Drink? Any NY'ers planning on attending? Let's start planning for the Presidents weekend (maybe we'll have one by then). Jan Name: mindy Commentshey -- time for the santa's and menorah banner on the header, no more pumpkins -- min Name: Mike CommentsCongratulations to the chair person of the MVB 25th reunion, Mr. Deutsch. I can see Carlin saying the line right now. He was hilarious. He might have said the Al Michaels line originally. Name: Rosey CommentsHarris, last night I watched biography on A&E and the subject was George Carlin. He was the master of statements like the one Al Michaels said the other night. He did a classic routine of the differences between baseball and football. Another famous line was, Why do people say they take a shit? Where are they taking it to? You don't take a shit, you leave a shit! A master of language. Name: SATAN CommentsEF me ef me ef me Name: mindala Commentskini looking good! Suzan is very sweet if she marries you you she will go insane ,you should spare her.Only kidding I have been married longer than anyone here probably. It is great institution marraige, and ofcourse institutions are where they keep the insane, thus the insanity comments.Like I said only kidding in a Queens boy kinda way.You guys are truly lucky to heva found each other and are a GREAT couple!!!(couple of what we aren't quite sure) :) Do you guys think Jorma likes Jew boys from Queens? Gore: give up already you're a freakin whiney sore loser it is sooo freakin over already give the world a break and leave with a shred of dignity. I was only kidding bout comin out I'm still in the closet as we speak. Have any of you guys downloaded me off of MP3.com yet? Ya bastads......I love you all sign me , Batch just another jewboy from Queens...really Name: MINDY CommentsGREAT KINI!!!!AU NATURALE! THAT'S IT FOR TONIGHT ! Name: Mike F. CommentsI like the surprising innocent kini girl look. I bet everything on her is real.... Then again, there have not been too many that I didn't like. And now a few comments about the election from early bird hell: Gore, please say Uncle already. I cringe just thinking about your upcoming speech tonight. In everyone's mind both candidates are losers, and this election will always remain tainted. Do us all a favor and concede. Isn't it amazing that we have the technology to send an E-mail to England in 30 seconds, or to keep in touch all over the world with forums like this, but we are still using 1930's or at best, punch-card technology to choose a President. Just think, in Florida a bunch of eldery citizens with electile dysfunctions, who eat dinner at 3:00 were flipping chads and saying, "1 2 3 4" to choose our President. I saw a sign the last time I was in Florida. It said Miami this way, no that way, no 5 miles, wait 10. Not that it would be an easy system to design, given the political nature, but it would sure be better than dimpled or pregnant chads. Congrads to our friends Joel and Suzanne on their upcoming nuptials! Name: Debbi J-L CommentsTook the day off to recover a little from the weekend (my Joel did too...) and just kickin. Hey, Jan, Diane, other lurkers, come out!!! (And, Batch, you surprised us!) So many things to respond to... Harris, I agree with your Kini assessment, she looks tres innocent, vulnerable, etc. Joel, you've been lurking, eh? Congrats to you and Suzan, many more good years to come... and enjoy the shows, both Tuna and Other Ones. I thought the same thing when the Phil Lesh show was announced, but you have to admit the Dead on NYE is a long-standing bay area tradition, in fact they usually did play Oakland. Too bad they couldn't get it together and play at the same place, jammin a little together. Harris, I am just so tired of this election BS still being an issue every time I turn around... wish it would go away already. I do think there should be a nationwide movement to standardize election methods (then the different locales would argue over which way is the best) and have the feds pay for it so there isn't a financial advantage for one locale over another. Also, let the polls open like from 7 AM, EST, till 10 PM PST, nationwide, and no revealing (maybe even tallying) any results till all the polls are closed. And revamping the electoral college system may not hurt too; have the numbers of electors for the states changed with every census, and are the required numbers of Electoral votes the same PROPORTION of the Electoral Votes needed in the beginning? Discuss amongst yourselves. Name: Harris CommentsFirstly .. so as to keep a tradition alive.. nice Kini today. Something about looking at her though, makes me feel like covering her with a towel. She seems so fragile or innocent or something. Anybody get that hit?.. Deb? Mystic Theater, in Petaluma is a nice venue.. enjoy the show Joel. Now for a little politics. At some point enough is enough! George Bush has won the election like 3 times already. The democrats say, they KNOW they won in Florida?? They seem as if they are just going to fight this until the results fall their way. Then what? The Republicans are supposed to roll over and play dead? Bush has a strong suit to play in the Florida Legislature and the Congress, should it come to that. The Supreme Court has a large role to play now, also. The Democrats keep whining about their chads. The truth is that the only reason they picked Florida to make a stand on, is because they have so many electoral votes. Why not examine all the results from all the states? I'm sure you would find hundreds of thousands of discrepancies. So.. this little diatribe ought to spark some dialogue on here. Let's hear what you all think ..and really.. think about it. Name: joscot57 CommentsHey Mike, What did you and Al do on they way home sat. night.Don`t tell me, hookers or club spanky Name: Joel CommentsWell, since Batch requested my presence. Jack and Jorma will be playing the Bay Area next week. Fillmore on Thursday and Mystic theatre in Petaluma on Friday. I will be going on Friday. Theatre holds about 400 people. Of course the show is acoustic since they would probably destroy the place if the played electric. Orther Ones in Oakland on NYE as well as Phil & his new friends also in Oakland. Too bad Phil didn't go back east like he planned. We don't need two shows on the same night in Oakland. I will be going to the Other Ones. BTW, Suzan and I are getting married on January 7th (our sixth anniversary). Happy holidays to all. Joel Name: Debbi J-L CommentsOK, get off my case already! Not like it's been a month yet!!! Probably a little of both ;-) Soon as I get my (film) pics, I'll scan and send them! Great to see everyone and to meet new people! Name: Harris Leibowitz CommentsMike.. good luck with this new broader based site. It will be a challenge indoctrinating everybody to the "kini-review". As a '69 Vee Bee alumni..
